If life was a bookshelf And we were all our own book I’d be more than myself You’d be more than a look
When a story begins I read the words you show me And when I read beyond the skins You write what you think we’ll be
We’ll get to the climax, good or bad The details are a little different than before Straight to the falling action, happy or sad But the structure always has the same core
Every time I get to an ending chapter I’m more at peace, a little less stressed I wonder if you’re just an attending actor I wonder if this is all just a lifelong test
So, when I picked your book off the shelf I didn’t know how long you’d be in my book But I was ready to leap, ready to test myself I got the best ending of all, I’m more than a look

Author’s Note – I’ve been pondering this idea for quite some time now; this perspective has so many different angles to it. I’m sure I’ll continue to play with it in the future too :-).
Writing, reading, storytelling, and books in general are some of the most special things in life – there’s something that resonates so deeply when mixing them with our human lives. So cheers to the stories we’re creating and reading in every moment!
Tucked under the covers of the night The warmth of our library nook hugs us tight Flipping through pages of poems until the one just right Something connects, and our voice shines the light
With peace running through the air Such love in a memory is so rare The souls of the books weep As dreams endlessly sleep
Poems so delicate and true Some memorized but forever new Phrases we’ve cradled in our hearts From youth to now, becoming a Universal vow
The twinkling constellations Formed spirals over our heads While the character within created stable foundations And the magic eternally spreads
The comfort of our parents loving eyes The purity of their souls never told any lies All could disappear, even the skies Because the love in these poetry nights soothes nostalgia’s cries
It was so fun to collaborate with my little brother on this piece! This poem is based off our family tradition when we were younger of reading poetry each night. Those poetry nights shaped me into the person and poet I am today. It feels very full circle that my brother’s first poetry experience is this, it was such a pleasure writing with him. Do go check him out, he’s full of joy vibes and definitely played a big part in my journey of becoming fearless and free!!!
The past few months, I’ve read amazing books by my friends in this wonderful community! I feel so blessed to have read these masterpieces and am so excited to share my thoughts about each one!

Hello friends!! So, for the past few months I’ve been busy creating this project and now it is finally time to announce it!!
So, there you have it!! I’ve made a virtual cookbook called Acing The Kitchen! So, basically, it is an album full of cooking videos. Yes, it is 100% vegan! I’ve also been eating sugar free for almost a year now, so all these recipes are sugar free! On occasion, you’ll see me use agave but it’s natural sugar and that is super good for you. I use organic ingredients as much as possible, it’s always better to eat chemical free food! 🤪 I hope to show you in this virtual cookbook that vegan tastes amazing, and isn’t all salad. And sugar free, doesn’t mean disgusting, it means doing the best thing for your body without skimping on flavor. Cooking has always been a passion of mine, I love the flow and creative zone you get in while cooking! With that being said, I don’t often use measurements. I eyeball a lot of my ingredients and go with my gut, I think it is important to cook with preference of flavor rather than math! 😂 When you cook a lot, you kind of know intuitively the “right” amounts; you can always add more but you can’t take away, that’s a good thing to remember if you’re new to cooking. The best part about cooking, is that you always get a finished project. Through this virtual cookbook, you’ll get many amazing finished projects! Comment with your thoughts on this new project, I’d love to hear!
Acing The Kitchen will be available to you on: 2.1.21! I can’t wait for you to see and hopefully try some of the recipes!!! Sending you all lots of love! Be fearless and free -Ace
