Droplets of our lost sun float across my back Igniting a heartbeat, creating a track

Droplets of the past lay on my fingertips Stopping for a moment, the future slips
Droplets of a cycle start to repeat In this melody, nature and I meet

Had a neat experience with rain (droplets) recently, hence these two droplets 😉! The first piece is about that neat experience, and the second piece is about how that neat experience helped me when something was kind of on my mind. I take my first step. The rustle of the rocks, the softness of the dirt, the warm embrace of the greenery, the crisp and comforting sound of my shoes touching the ground and the breath of life truly wraps its arms around me. I’ve seen it before, but as I begin this new trek, it’s like a new experience. I guess you could say life is like that sometimes.
My eyes always look up first, but this time, I look down. I watch my footprints make a mark in the red dirt, I watch the bushes and trees as they speak through their being-ness, I feel the rocks shift as my steps become their beacon of change and I realize I am a piece of them just as they are a piece of me.
All is silent on this little adventure. My thoughts and my steps are all I can hear, and it is oh so soothing. The voices in my head are swaying to the rhythm of my stride and I find myself looking down at the path ahead. Both rocks and dirt lie ahead, and as I subconsciously decide where to step, I find the balance of both is best. Just as the pillowy dirt is comforting, the rough rocks are very much alive with meaning — it’s a neat analogy that reminds me of my soul within.
Now, I look up and the voices in my head become deeply still. As the mountains see me, I feel them. There is something so breathtaking about this moment, words float away and silence flows in. So much can be said in the unspoken, and in this moment, conversation has never felt more natural.
The crunch of my feet evaporates in the beauty of what my two circles see. Red was never my favorite color, but this red is my favorite vision. The textures, the green growing through it, the vastness and the presence of it all takes one to a different dimension. Thoughts seem so foreign, because breath is all that truly exists here.
The wallpaper of a sky lets my mind get lost in this waking dream. To my eyes and to my body, it all seems so real. But to the me within, it all feels so much bigger. Maybe “real” is just what I imagine it to be.
I guess the best part of this trek is the freedom through it all. Sure, man carved out this hike to be walkable, but, the hue of Creation birthed this magical life we call nature. I can feel freedom flowing and dancing in every scene. As I ponder about this freedom, I realize the uniqueness of every plant, rock, patch of dirt, and mountain is what makes it is so magical. I think hue-mans are a lot like that.
I stop to soak in the harmony before I turn back around. I’ve always had this image in my brain of holding my own book in Sedona, and in this moment, I know now is the time to make that image a reality. I let the pages of my words breathe in the melody of peace that surrounds. And as I do this, I hear a tree speaking back to me. So, I let my book rest in its gentle arms. And all feels so truly complete.
Well, if you haven’t guessed it, I am back in Sedona! It’s already been such a magical trip, I hope my words do it justice! Just wanted to share a piece of it with you and take you into a little vortex of the beauty Sedona brings. Thank you so much for reading! You’re the waves, reality is the sand and I am the ocean in-between. You’re the ups and downs, the whitewash and the clear blue – the rises and the falls. The sand is always there, keeping everything in perspective. And I am just all that comes between the two; maybe I’m the creatures, maybe I’m the shells, maybe I’m the abyss, or maybe I’m just the air in-between every wave. But this beach is always mine. No matter what the perceived label is, I get to create every ounce of my vision.
Even though I am creating this dream of life, I am still living it just as much. So, as every wave hits me, I experience it as something new. There is that little twinge of nostalgia, but it’s nothing more than a distant familiarity. I could live each rise over and over; I could live each fall over and over. Without those “falls”, I would’ve never known how good each rise felt. I just wish I could remember that when I’m in the fall.
So, the next time the waves come crashing down, I’ll be there for my intuition. I’ll listen at its first call, and I’ll let the blurry whispers of fear float away. The next time the waves come crashing down, I’ll breathe in the opportunity. I’ll remind myself the rise is coming. The next time the waves come crashing down, I’ll say thank you. After all, freedom is in loving the fall.
So, the next time I ride the waves with ease, I’ll breathe and soak it all in. I’ll savor every moment and take my time riding. The next time I ride the waves with ease, I’ll pay attention to my emotions. I’ll watch the flow create its waves in me. The next time I ride the waves with ease, I’ll clear out everything else. I’ll forget the external clutter and the internal hustle – I’ll lean into my peace.
A little caterpillar on a big oak tree, Falling in love with the hide and see, (finding the best spot for shade, blending in with the bark, making a small mark). Turning over a new leaf Or at least trying, adding belief. Tumbling from branches, hitting the ground, Life’s great adventure lies in playing around. (No creature could have been stiller when it came to pursuing the big dreams)?
Inching to crawl, Hearing the call, (Beyond words and thoughts, it was coming) Something so deep, A cry to evolve, a deafening weep. (A dance within, change was looming in place).
With another slither, The cocoon whispered, “come hither” Everything became s l o w, Sky and sight disappeared. (All was blank, in this blanket’s show).
Hugging its skin like gentle fluff, The cocoon became soothing, Breaking the warmth, becoming rough, Cold air brushed the new body – blooming. Like a flower that came to life, Testing its wings like they were petals, The butterfly took a flight, A new world went into view, The flapping wings appeared blue, Something ineffable, only divine, As if nothing could take away its sun-kissed shine, It floated over the trees, Tasting nature’s nectar, finally free. Ready to make another leap, Fear started to weep. The adrenaline of truly being alive, Was such a magical dive. Something inside was afraid fear would arrive, But through a smile of the eyes, And a breath of love, So many more surprises Awaited these wings delicately above.

Time seems so irrelevant to me now; yesterday felt like ages ago, tomorrow feels like now and the present feels like a loop. I see this life as a cycle; I’m running up and around this circle of life. Most days life is blooming, occasionally it’s raining, but, the rain lets me grow stronger.
In some sense, time is there; like in a song, that moment where time stops and then starts creates a shiver through my being. It’s in space where time seems most real to me – because it’s in those spaces where I realize time is missing.
I know time is just an agreed upon reality. I know it’s meant to keep us aligned with chaos, rush, fear and anything that goes against our alignment with our souls. My soul runs on the clock of emotion. My feelings, my intuition, my heart, my soul and my vibration tell me the time of the Universe. I think this 3D view of time is an illusion, but, the Universe’s view of time is synchronicity.
Time – you might be real to some, but, you’re losing your grasp on me. Life is not linear, life is a circle, a cycle – we flow, we grow and we ride with the energy of the Universe. You may be in my peripheral vision, but, that’s going away. I trust my gut with the Universe’s time. I follow the clock of my heart. I tick and tock to the beat of emotion. You might be chasing me, you might be in slow motion, you might even be hitting the fast-forward button; but, in my reality, you’re at a standstill. My belief has all the power and I no longer believe you, it’s just that simple.
Time has been changing for me, it just doesn’t have the control over me like it used to. I used to be obsessed…never took my watch off, being late drove me absolutely crazy, rushing was a normal thing – it was like time had me on a string and I was its puppet. I don’t really know what it is, but, I just look at it all so differently now. This piece is about letting go of the external clock and leaning into the internal clock of my soul. We’re always learning, and this is something I’ve been learning lately. I hope this helps you on your journey! Be fearless and free -Ace
